Can I just say . . . .

My Princess is going to be a GENIUS. I'm talking straight-A, skipping grades, Doogie Howser, Harvard is going to beg for her kind of genius.

Here's my proof - http://www.babycenter.com/204_morning-sickness-linked-to-smarter-babies_10312743.bc?scid=momstodd_20090428:2&pe=ffdOA9

Of toys and hair shades.

Miss R has a second cousin, T, who has become her favorite playmate. They chase each other, watch movies together, and R even hands over her prized possessions to him, i.e. whatever she has in her hand at the moment. Usually a tea cup or stuffed animal - just what every boy wants. The princess also freely gives him kisses to which he says, "Ugh." They played together over the weekend at Pop-pop's house.

T bought her the purple stuffed animal with his own money because he wanted her to have an Easter bunny. How sweet is that? She snuggles with it all the time now.

I believe she was asking for a kiss rather than a chip!

I love that he wears her out!!

In other news, Princess R is experimenting with new hair colors.
I think she was just testing us by going with pink.

I hope.

Little Drummer Girl

Princess R, Dante, and I are enjoying this gorgeous weather today! We went for a walk down the road outside our subdivision. Yesterday when we did this, we saw about 15 mooooo cows and 5 horses!! I got to pet two of the horses, but the cows looked at us like we were aliens. Today, the horses were too far away on the other side of the pasture and the cows
looked at us like we were aliens.

When we arrived back home, Miss R shocked me with a new found talent. Ladies and Gentlemen, our future rock star:

She might be our future rocker, but she seems to have talent in other areas too.

For example, she might become an artist using a purple crayon as her medium.

Or, perhaps, sidewalk chalk.

Auto mechanic would not be my first choice . . .

but a professional cowgirl would be kinda cool.

And anything she could do to help save our environment would be awesome!

But, since she demands that we practice every day, I believe she has her heart set on being a professional egg hunter.

'Cause you know that's where the money is.

Here Comes Peter Cottontail!

I can't even begin to tell you how much fun we had with our baby girl at Easter! She was thrilled with her basket, greatly enjoyed the egg hunt (all three of them), and visited her daddy at the fire station in her Easter dress. It was a perfect day. Enjoy the pictures!

Mama said there'll be days like this . . .

There'll be days like this my Mama said . . .

(Mama said, Mama said)
I went walking the other day,
Everything was going fine,
I met a little girl named RKP,
And then I almost lost my mind.

LOVE this.

What a great lesson in parenting for me. Oh, how I want R to grow into a compassionate, generous, unselfish person and at the same time, I so dread the necessary growing pains of her heart.
